The Bright M3500 is a biological microtome that is used to slice tissue and other samples very finely for microscopic examination. The instrument is essentially a stationary cutting machine capable of sectioning samples from 2 to 30 microns. The Bright M3500 microtome operates by use of an external wheel that turns the blade and slices the sample. It is used for a wide diversity of animal and plant tissue in hospitals and laboratories. The Bright M3500 microtome incorporates a flat-cutting radial action. This cutting action produces less section compression than other methods and therefore gives excellent results. The M3500 is relatively portable, but heavy enough to remain stable and accurate while cutting. The advance rewind switch has been duplicated on either side of the front and other controls have been positioned so that the microtome can be used either front-on or side-on to the operator. A debris visor serves as a safety shield, a debris blind and trap to keep the inner mechanism clean and a deep integral debris tray Features of the Bright M3500 Microtomes: Flat cutting radial action Automatic knife retraction on return stroke Section counter included as standard Accepts a wide range of knives and disposable blade holders Integral debris tray for control of waste Quick release cassette holder as standard Optional specimen orientation Optional motorized advance rewind Supplied with low temperature grease, visor tool, Allen key, and debris brush
